Alexander Rodger
Alexander Rodger was a Scottish poet and songwriter associated with the early 19th-century Scots literary revival. Born near Glasgow, Rodger was initially a weaver by trade before turning to poetry and journalism. Rodger was a contemporary and friend of other notable Scottish poets such as Robert Burns. His works often contained themes of social and political commentary, reflecting the turbulent times in which he lived.
