Edward Henry Palmer

Edward Henry Palmer, born on August 7, 1840, was an English orientalist and explorer. He is best known for his expertise in eastern languages and for his travels in the Middle East. He contributed significantly to the field of oriental studies through his translations and writings. Tragically, his life was cut short when he was murdered on August 11, 1882, in Egypt. Palmer's work remains influential in the study of Middle Eastern cultures and languages.
