George Sims

George Robert Sims was an English journalist, poet, dramatist, novelist, and bon vivant. Born in London, he was best known for his humanitarian work and social investigations that highlighted the conditions of the poor in London. His works often advocated for social reform. Some of his notable works include 'The Dagonet Ballads', which highlighted social injustices, and 'Twixt Love and Duty'. Sims was also an early advocate for homeless shelters.
