Marriott Edgar

Marriott Edgar was a British poet, screenwriter, and comedian, best known for his monologues written for Stanley Holloway. Born on October 5, 1880, he was of Scottish descent on his mother's side. Edgar wrote many monologues, the most famous being 'The Lion and Albert'. He also had a successful career in the film industry, contributing to screenwriting and acting. He died on May 5, 1951, leaving behind a legacy of humor and storytelling.
