Robert Laurence Binyon

Robert Laurence Binyon was an English poet, dramatist, and art scholar. He is best known for his poem 'For the Fallen' which was written in 1914, and has been used in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, particularly on Remembrance Day. Binyon worked at the British Museum and wrote numerous works on art and literature. He was honored with the Newdigate Prize for poetry in 1891.
